Today's review items are STAEDTLER Noris 120, 122, 152 and 153.
↑Noris ergosoft 152 is on the top, Noris 122, an erasered model is in the middle, and Noris 120 is on the bottom.
After I wrote the Korean version of this posting, I've got other models of Noris, 153.
Among all Noris pencils, 122-2, an eraser-attached HB model is most popular and easy to find.
Like other Ergosoft graphite pencils, it's a bit hard to find 152 and 153.
It's ok to me because I don't like STAEDTLER's Ergosoft model. the rubber finish is vulnerable to scratch, and sometimes it sticks to your hand or other pencils and pens in your pencil case.
The yellow and black stripes and the red cap looks very nice and maybe children like that too.
All Noris models are made in Germany.
Well, if you remember the German flag, you may guess that they're not going to be made in other countries like China or Indonesia.
However, it's not true that all Noris model design based on the German flag.
Here's other Noris' I have found during my travel to Japan.
Maybe you could guess when you saw there're something after the model number. 2 and HB.
I could buy H, B and 2B grades of Noris 120. and they're distinguished by the cap color. Blue for H, black for B and orange for 2B.
The model numbers are also different, and they follows American style pencil grade number.
Well, because I usually keep my pencils in pencil stand as I can see the lead end, I'm a bit disappointed by giving the German flag design up.
The lead quality of STAEDTLER Noris is the best office&school pencil you can find in Korea.
Faber-Castell, the biggest competitor of STAEDTLER also sells comparable product, Gold Faber. However, Faber-Castell have to be shameful. Quality of Gold Faber is not comparable with Noris though the price is almost same. That Indonesian made pencil occasionally scratches paper.
Well, because I don't think triangular pencils are really ergonomic and especially STAEDTLER's triangular models have bad finish, I recommend Noris 122 rather than Ergosoft 152 or 153. The eraser of Noris 122 is good enough as a attached-to-pencil eraser.
